Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a healthcare term referring to people's daily self care activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toilet hygiene, and self-feeding and functional mobility. 

Willow Pathway's certified nursing assistants (CNA) not only assist the patients but also works with the patient's medical team according to the patients' real-time medical conditions.  In addition, they are specialize in taking care of patients with dementia (caused by Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lewy Body, or stroke), high blood pressure, diabetes, urinary tract infection (UTI), or other chronic diseases

Willow Pathway's ADL Assistance Care Includes:

  • Ambulating and transferring immobile patients with Gait Belt

  • Bathing, dressing and grooming

  • Bedsore/pressure ulcers prevention

  • Companionship

  • Customized Exercises for improving blood and lymphatic circulations and cognitive abilities, including:

  • Fall Prevention

  1. Back rub and massages

  2. Upper limb joint-rotation: shoulders-elbows-wrists-fingers

  3. Lower limb joint-rotation:hips-knees-ankles-toes

  4. Cognitive: recited reading and playing puzzles that can enhance memory ability.

  5. Physical: strolling and stretching

  6. Art crafting: stimulates the fingertips, stays creative, and relaxes with lots of laughs and fun!

  • Grocery shopping and running errands (limits applied)

  • Haircuts (with additional care ee)

  • Light housekeeping

  • Medication reminders 

  • Oral hygiene and mouth care: brushing the patient's teeth and dentures

  • Patient's laundry

  • Preparing nutritious meals, feeding, and preventing the patient from choking

  • Restroom and toileting assistance (e.g. cleaning bedpan)

  • Transferring (e.g. from bed to wheelchair and wheel chair to toilet) with Gait Belt

  • Walking and wheelchair assistance with Gait Belt

  • Weight measurement

Under registered nurses' supervisions

  • Blood pressure measurement

  • Pulse measurement
